The Parent portal – What is it?
The Parent Portal is part of the school’s intranet and is the place parents can go to access school-related information about their children.
The portal is web-based and, after creating a login account, all you need is a browser and the portal web address which is https://sentral.oakhill.nsw.edu.au/portal. While most browsers will work, the site is optimized for Google Chrome so the use of that browser is recommended. Details for creating a login account can be found in the document ‘Sentral Parent Portal Access – Step-by-Step Guide’.
Parents also receive an email from the College with instructions on how to create their login accounts and the student keys they have to enter to link their logins to their children at the College.
The portal offers parents a number of online services, including access to their child’s academic results and reports, attendance records, timetables and merit and demerit awards. It’s also used for making appointments with teachers on the occasion of Parent-Teacher Interview evenings. Explanations for a child’s absence from school (or lateness to school) can also be made conveniently, online, through the portal.
