Get Started With Your Test
- Open Google Chrome and visit: https://www.onlinemictest.com/
- Click the ‘play’ button.
- Click ‘allow’ if you see this question in Google Chrome
- Now the line should move when you talk into the mic
- If you encounter any problem, or see something similar to the image below, please visit the ICT Helpdesk as soon as possible and one of the ICT team will assist in rectifying the issue.

- Click the ‘play’ button.
3. Click ‘allow’ if you see this question in Google Chrome
4. Now you should see yourself (or whatever your webcam is pointed at)
5. If you encounter any problem, or see something similar to the picture below, please visit the ICT Helpdesk as soon as possible and one of the ICT team will assist in rectifying the issue.
Get Started With Your Test
- Open Google Chrome and visit: https://www.onlinemictest.com/sound-test/
- Unplug your headphones if they are currently plugged in
- Click the left ‘play’ button first, then the right ‘play’ button
- You should hear music play from your laptop speakers (left side first, then right)
- If you do not hear any sound, reload the webpage and try the same test again. Check that your volume is not on mute and is turned up.
- If you still do not hear any sound, open YouTube and try playing any video.
- If you cannot get any sound playing from your laptop speakers, visit the ICT Helpdesk as soon as possible and one of the ICT team will assist in rectifying the issue.
